Robert M. 'Rummy' Armagost , 69, of 519 Old Bankson Rd. Oil City, PA.died at 10:25 P.M. Sunday August 11, 2013 at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca after an extended illness.
Born Nov. 17, 1943 in Brookville, PA., he was the son of the late Donald Armagost and Geraldine Mealy Armagost Rumbaugh.
Robert attended schools in Pleasantville.
Mr. Armagost was a SP-4 in the United States Army serving his country from Jan 5, 1961 to Dec 13, 1963.
He was married to the former Sandra Smith and she preceded him in death in 1999.
He later married Kathleen M. Irwin and she survives.
Robert had worked for Con-Air as a supervisor in the shipping dept., and retired in 1994.
He later went to work at Kwik Fill in Rouseville, where he knew all of his customers by name and was known by all as a hard worker.
He was a member of the Moose Club, the Fryburg Sportsmans Club, the VFW and was a former member of the Pulaski Club.
Rummy enjoyed hunting, gardening, cutting wood and working outside. He also enjoyed playing golf.
He is survived by 8 children

Richard Armagost and his wife Kimberly of Oil City

Kamille Elder and her daughter Maddie Mae who made their home with Bob and his wife
Many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
He is also survived by a sister
Donna Graham and her husband Robert of Lickingville
A brother
Dale Armagost and his wife Jackie of Tionesta
His step father
Lloyd Rumbaugh, a resident of Country Acres Personal Care Home
And several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by two children
Robert Armagost and Matthew McDougal
And a brother Donald Armagost
A Pabst Blue Ribbon Memorial service will be held at the Convenience of the family.
The Reinsel Funeral Home& Crematory is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

I was very sad to hear that Bob had passed. I knew he had been sick. I'm sorry I didn't get to see him. He was always fun to be around. He was a good friend and boss.
