Helen R. Goreczny, 87, of Oil City, PA., passed away April 5, 2024 at Oil City Healthcare.
Born March 18, 1937 in Marble, PA., she was the daughter of the late Edward & Louise Beichner Kaltenbach.
Helen was a graduate of Farmington High School.
She was married on Feb. 18, 1958 in St. Michael’s Church in Fryburg to Stephen S. Goreczny and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2003.
Helen had worked at the Jean Frock Shoppe, at Sylvania in Pleasantville and Warren and was a cashier at the southside Bilo for 21 years.
She was a member St. Joseph Church, CD-Telecom, and 4 Life Research and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by four children

William Goreczny of Oil City
Barbara Goreczny of Reno
6 grandchildren
Leanne, Andrew, Stevie Nicole, Ross, Stephanie and Brittany
She is also survived by a brother Dan Schill of Venus and a sister Debbie Beichner of Kossuth
And by two sisters-in-law
Mary Aleksiewicz and Sandy Goreczny of Rouseville
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son
Stephen Goreczny and his wife Marty
An infant daughter Roseanne and a great grandson Clyde Oelkrue as well as sisters Ann Love and Bernice Reitz, a brother Edward Kaltenbaugh and a brother Mike Schill
Friends will be received from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 P.M. in St. Joseph Church on Tuesday.
Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Garden
Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
