Martha Jane (Way) Deets

Martha Jane Deets, 81, of Dempseytown, PA., passed away on March 31, 2024 at UPMC-NW in Seneca.

Known throughout her life as Jane, she was born March 27, 1943 in Oil City, PA., to the late Martha and George Way.

She graduated from Oil City High School, class of 1961.

After graduating from Clarion State College, she began her long dedicated career as an elementary teacher at Oakland Elementary School.

Jane was a life-long member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Jackson Deets.

Also surivived by siblings Joe (Cis) Way

And Charlotte LaVerde of Oil City

Larry(Marge) Deets

“Aunt Jane” is also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews and she was always an active supporter of all their various activities.

She was preceded in death by  a sister Catherine (Kay) Courtney

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Interment will  be in the Dempseytown Lutheran Cemetery.
