On February 7, 2019, Aaron James Pertz lost his 16 month battle with brain cancer. He passed away in his home at 5:20 A..M. peacefully surrounded by his family.
Born December 3, 1970 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of Rose Reisinger Adams and the late Donald R. Pertz
He attended school in Cranberry, and later took classes at Kerr Skill Center in Titusville for Tool and Die.
Aaron also attended Pittsburgh Diesel Institute.
He drove truck for several years, worked at Joy Manufacturing for ten years and then went back to driving truck.
Aaron made friends wherever he went, many called and texted him everyday.
He had a variety of interests and talents including woodcarving, working with leather and gunsmithing.
Aaron also enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the wildlife around his home.
He is survived by his wife the former Sally Riggs, who was the love of his life, they were married in their home in Rockmere.

Beth Carcia & her husband Mark and their children Kamron and Kalen
Jesse Slater and his children Leelah, McLaren, Kyrah and Sean.
He enjoyed the times spent with them and loved them as his own.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepfather Craig Adams, whom he enjoyed spending many hours with discussing a variety of topics.
He is also survived by his sister
Janel Hanna & her husband Jason and their children
Kaiti and Kyle Hanna , whom he adored.
Also His paternal grandfather Donald Pertz along with several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Sylvester & Margaret Reisinger and paternal grandmother Rebecca Pertz
The family would like to thank Venango VNA Hospice Team, his nurse Brenda, his doctors , and the many neighbors and friends who stopped in and sent cards, food and well wishes.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Venango County VNA Foundation.
As he requested there will be no viewing or services at this time, the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
