David T. Hickman Jr.

David T. Hickman Jr., 91, of 164 Cornplanter Hill Rd. Oil City, PA. , died at 9:40 A.M. Monday Sept. 17, 2018 at Oakwood Heights in Oil City after an extended illness.

Born Dec. 15, 1926 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late David T. Hickman Sr & Katie Foster Hickman.

Mr. Hickman was a graduate of Oil City High School.

Dave was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was married on June 26, 1948 in Oil City to Audrey L. McCool and she survives.

He had worked many years for National Fuel Gas.
Dave enjoyed gardening and watching sports.

He was a member of the V.F.W. in Oil City.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children

Karen L. Sumoske & her husband Arthur of Cooperstown

Debbie I. Williams & her husband Earl of Erie

Susan M. McCauley & her husband Donald of Dubois

David W. Hickman & his wife Bernadette of Temple, TX

and the following grandchildren

Kelly Slagle, Denise & Dennis Kuberry and Eric Slagle & his wife Denise

Scott Sumoske, Shannon Sumoske and Kasey Roser

Carrie Yowell and Michael Hickman

great grandchildren Shane Kuberry, Rachel Kuberry, Colette Slagle, Ethan Slagle, Kennedy Mason, Corey Mason, Jacob Roser and Jordan Roser

and by several great great grandchildren

He is also survived by one sister

Phyllis Veraldi

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Sally A. Slagle

and a stepbrother

Jack Hickman

and by a sister Clea Overdorf

Their will be no viewing or visitation.

Funeral Services will be private.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.

Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.
