Donald E. Heeter, 84, of 387 Old State Route 157 Venus, PA. ,died at 8:30 A.M. Friday Nov. 17, 2017 at his home after an extended illness.
Born Nov. 24, 1932 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Emery & Corneila Rodgers Heeter.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a Private First Class during the Korean War. He served in the 40th Div. HQ 143 Field Artillery and the 25th Div. HQ 27th Infantry Regiment.
He had received the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, the Good Conduct Award, Korean Service Medal and the ROK Presidential Unit Citation.
He was married in the Venus Evangelical Church on August 8, 1959 to the former Donna J. Hockman and she survives.
Mr. Heeter drove truck and worked in maintenance for Pennzoil for over 43 years.
Don was involved with the Boy Scouts for over 30 years.
He was Past Noble Grand of Tecumseh IOOF Lodge in Venus, PA.

Past Master of Masonic Lodge #710, a member of the Lodge of Perfection, and the New Castle Consistory
A Life member of the V.F.W., Past Commander of VFW #464
and a Life member of the Pulaski Club
He and Jim Moltz explored the area and looked for cemeteries in the area that were forgotten about and worked with the Venango County Historical Society.
He is survived by a son

He is also survived by a brother David Heeter of Meadville
and a sister Patricia Hilton of Oil City
He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Heeter, and a sister Joan Bowman and a grandson Jeff Rice.
A Masonic Service will be held at 3:45 P.M. Sunday in the Reinsel Funeral Home with a Memorial
Service following at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Randy Evans , Chaplain of the Clarion-Forest
Visiting Nurses Association, presiding. Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.
