Donna M. (Marchinke) Bucholz

        Donna Mae Bucholz, 82, of 907 East Second Street Oil City,
PA. , died at 5:15 A.M. Saturday Nov. 3, 2018 at UPMC Northwest
in Seneca.
Born March 1, 1936 in Oil City, PA., she was the oldest of three
daughters born to the late Lawrence F. Marchinke & Eleanor L. Kay
Marchinke.
Donna was a graduate of Oil City High School.
She was married to her childhood best friend and sweetheart Richard
A. “Dick” Bucholz on Jan. 3, 1959 in Seneca and he preceded her in
death in 1997. Dick and Donna walked hand in hand together on the
first day of first grade and she was ready to hold his hand again in
Heaven.
Before marrying Dick, Donna worked at Bell Telephone in
Warren. Later as her own children grew, she began babysitting for
friends and neighbors. This turned into a wonderful 25 year career
during which many children learned to read, write, and play together.
She was affectionately called Don Don and loving and watching
children was truly one of her life’s greatest gifts.
She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church and the Hope
Circle.
She is survived by two loving children:
Marjorie Axton & her husband Ernie of Cochranton;
Anthony “Tony” Bucholz & his companion Dee Tarr of Oil City;
her 7 cherished grandchildren:
Benjamin & Lauren Roberts and Lance Axton;
MacKenzie & Anthony “AJ” Bucholz , Carter Thompson and Fayth
Tarr;
her two devoted sisters
Judy Blaine & Laurene Welms of Oil City;
one beloved Aunt
Adeline Kay of Rocky Grove;
and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by
two brothers-in-law
Jack Blaine and Dave Welms;
and a sister-in-law Betty Ghering & her husband Dick of Butler as
well as many cherished aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received from 4-7 P.M. Monday in the Reinsel
Funeral Home and again from 10:00A.M.-11:00 A.M. Tuesday at
Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Good Hope Lutheran
Church.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to Good
Hope Lutheran Church.
