Georgia Jean DiDominic, 82, formerly of Oil City, PA. , passed away Monday Nov. 13, 2017 in Hermitage, PA.
She had recently moved with her husband Dominic DiDominic to the Whispering Oaks Retirement Home in Hermitage.
Born May 9, 1935 in Plumer, she was the daughter of the late George Ernst & Margaret Lendrum Ernst.
Georgia graduated from Oil City High School in 1953.
She married Dominic DiDominic in 1954.
Georgia served on the panning committee for her high school class reunions for many years. She very much enjoyed creating skits and artful decorations for her class meetings and reunions.
Georgia was a member of the TOPS Club in Oil City where she made many meaningful and long lasting friendships.
Mrs. DiDominic was talented both as a visual artist and as a musician.
She played guitar, piano, and enjoyed singing.
Georgia was an avid painter using oils, acrylics, and water color.
For many years her work was included in the art shows at the annual Oil Heritage Festival held at the Oil City Arts Center as well as Franklins Applefest, as well as other local art competitions.
Georgia was the sister of Robert Ernst, a painter of some notoriety in PA.
Her work was sprinkled throughout the area at places like McConnell's Mills, Our Lady Help of Christians Church and year round at the Oil City Arts Center.
In addition to her husband Dominic, she is survived by three children
Rita DiDominic of South Florida and her son Vincent Dominico Bolling
Vicki DiDominic of Franklin
Margie DiDominic Steen & her husband Scott and their children
Trevor and Kylie of Lake Latonka
She is also survived by a sister Shirley of California.
She was preceded in death by a son Nicholas DiDominic in 1976 and sisters Mary and Ruth and a brother Robert.
Friends will be received from 12 noon until 1:30 P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. in the Funeral Home with Fr. John Miller, Presiding.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
