Joan L. Ragon, 92, of Oil City, PA. , died at 4:35 A.M. Tuesday Sept. 24, 2019 at her home.
Born May 12, 1927 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Henry & Hazel Madden Fink.
Joan graduated as Valedictorian of her graduating class at St. Joseph High School.
She went on to graduate from St. Vincent's School of Nursing in Erie, PA.
Joan was married on Oct. 6, 1951 in St. Joseph Church to Richard “Dick” Ragon and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2002.
Joan began her nursing career at the Continental Can Co. prior to her marriage. She retired from the Oil City Hospital after many years of service as a Registered Nurse where she is remembered as a compassionate caregiver
A member of St. Stephen's Church, she had served as a Lector for many years.
Joan, a devout Catholic, dedicated her life to faith, family and friends. She intuitively recognized those in need and consistently rendered care. She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. Joan always put others ahead of herself.
Joan enjoyed baking and in her spare time loved to read.
She is survived by her seven children and their spouses.

and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an
infant son John, granddaughter Emma Dudzic, sisters Margie Fink, Norma Wujcik and a brother Jim Fink.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 6-8 P.M. Thursday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Friday in St. Stephen's Church with Fr. Ian McElrath, Presiding.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Venango Region Catholic School System or to the St. Elizabeth Center.
