John Lee Obituary

John C. “Jack” Lee, 70, of 7 Carson Ave. Oil City, PA. , died Wednesday June 19, 2019 at the Collins Hospice House after an extended illness.

Born Dec. 30, 1948 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Charles”Chuck” Lee & Mildred B. “Millie” Hoover Lee.

Jack was a 1966 graduate of Oil City High School.

He was previously married to Susan Armstrong Lee for 35 years.

Jack married Catherine ”Kay” James on Dec. 22, 2006 and she survives.

Jack had started working at Riverside out of high school and then went to work for Erie Bearings. He worked many years at Pennzoil as an electrician until the plant closed.

Jack worked for the Arlington Hotel as maintenance supervisor and for Baker Auto Parts. In 2006 he started working for Joy Mfg. until 2012.

Jack was a member of the PNA Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. He also enjoyed the companionship of his dog Dottie.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons

Michael Marvin, Ryan Lee and Ben Lee

Tim C. Lee & his wife Brenda of Oil City

and their children

Taylour Lee, Garrett Morse and Emma Lee

and a great granddaughter

Olivia Lee

Corey Budzinski of Oil City

step grandchildren

Jacob Bump & Lucas Budzinski

step great grandchildren

Bentley Youngkin, Jordan Freshcorn and Kyah Budzinski

a sister-in-law

Vickie Lee of Erie, PA.

A brother-in-law

Earl ”Sponge” James of Oil City

and two nephews

Dan Lee Jr and Adam Lee

as well as his caregiver Missy Hargenrader of Oil City

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step daughter Melody Gregory and a brother Daniel Robert Lee and a sister-in-law Judy Sobina.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Funeral Services will be at the family's convenience.

Memorials may be made to the Venango County VNA Foundation.

The Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
