Julie Marie (Mietus) Hutchinson

Julie Marie Hutchinson, 68, of Oil City passed away Thursday June 6, 2019 at Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh after an extended illness.

She was born December 4, 1950 in Oil City and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ardell Cann Mietus.

Julie graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1968.

She married Joseph Hutchinson on June 28, 1969, and he survives.

Julie worked close to 30 years for the Presbyterian Home as a Nurse.  She also Co-Owned J & J’s Corner Cupboard in Oil City.

She enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards (especially Shanghai), reading, movies, and buying and selling antiques.  Julie also had a love for her pets and especially horses.

Julie is survived by 3 children; Mike Hutchinson and wife Laura of Oil City, Patrick Hutchinson and wife Jennifer of Mooresville, N.C., and Eric Hutchinson of Oil City; also 8 grandchildren.

She is also survived by siblings, Teresa Alward and Joseph Mietus.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Cindy Confer, and granddaughter Maria Hutchinson.

The family would like to thank the caregivers from Magee Women’s Hospital for their great care.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations be made to the Venango County Humane Society.
