Karen Sue (Simpson) LaVan

         Karen Sue LaVan, 57, of Oil City, PA, passed away Wednesday December 13, 2017.

   Born in Clarion on December 1, 1960, she was the daughter of the late William and Gladys Allen Simpson.

 Karen enjoyed painting and spending time with her granddaughter.

         She is survived by a daughter Carrie LaVan.

    Also surviving is a granddaughter Halle Ocean Colwell, a grandson Gavin Taylor LaVan ; a sister ,  a niece Heidi Barnett, nephew William Barnett as well as several other nieces and nephews.

Preceding Karen in death is an ex-husband David LaVan.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
