Phylllis A. “Spuddie” Nick, 91 of Oil City, PA. , died Saturday Sept. 21, 2019 at Oakwood Heights after an extended illness.
Born Feb. 8, 1928 in Reno, PA., she was the daughter of the late Ernest & Kathryn Sharrar Reese.
Phyllis was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School.
She had worked as a clerk at the Oil City Hospital in several departments and had also worked for Digestive Health Specialists.
Spuddie was active with the Oil City Elks Club where she previously served as chaplain.
She attended the Christ Community Church.
Phyllis was married to Frederick “Ted” Nick on May 7, 1949 and he preceded her in death.
Spuddie enjoyed reading, boating on the Allegheny River and camping. She also enjoyed walks with her sister and motorcycle rides with her son in law.

Lucas Donze, Heidi Girty, Sam Wright, Ryan & Trevor Nick
and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three infant children, three sisters
Verna Ludwig, Wilma Noble and Ernestine Myers and long time companion Robert Wygant.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Interment will be in Reno Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Oil City Library or to the Oil City Elks Club.
