William Summers Jr. Obituary

William E. “Bill” Summers Jr. 69, of Oil City died at 5:00 A.M. Wednesday Oct. 3, 2018 at his home.

Born April 20, 1949 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late William E. Summers Sr. & Evelyn Barrett Summers.

Bill was a 1967 graduate of Venango Christian High School and was also a graduate of Bryant Stratton Business School.

He was married on Dec. 5, 1970 in St. Stephen's Church to the former Bonnie S. Stevenson and she survives.

Bill had worked for many years at I.A. Construction.

A member of St. Stephen's Church, Bill was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed going to New Smyrna Beach and Las Vegas every year.

Bill bowled Wednesday nights in the duckpin league at the Oil City K of C. He most enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter

three grandchildren

Douglas Haney of Oil City

Dylan Haney of Cooperstown

Jamison Haney of Cooperstown

and his great granddaughter

Willow Mae Haney

He is also survived by four sisters

Patricia Bianchi of Clarence, NY

Marilyn Summers-Boltz & her husband William of Williamsville, NY

Susan Summers-Skrok & her husband James

of Cheektowaga, NY

Kathleen Demytor & her husband Michael of Woodlawn, NY

as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his in-laws

Michael Stevenson, Dean Stevenson and Patricia Bestwick

Friends will be received from 5-7P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in St. Stephens Church with Fr. Ian McElrath, Presiding.
