Albert D. Lawson Sr., 81, of Oil City, PA., passed away Monday July 28, 2025 at his home after a brief illness.
Born Feb. 29, 1944 in Franklin, PA., he was the son of the late Donald and Bennie Mott Lawson.
“Bert” was a graduate of Franklin High School.
He entered the United States Army in Oct of 1963 and was honorably discharged on Sept. 30, 1966 with the rank of E-5.
Albert was married on July 25, 1983 to the former Nancy Cook and she survives.
He had worked at J & L Steel and had retired from National Fuel where he worked for many years.
Bert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and going hunting.
He also enjoyed hiking, woodworking and photography.
Bert was a happy and content man, who knew how to laugh and have a good time.
In addition to his wife Nancy Cook-Lawson of Oil City, he is survived by one son
Albert Lawson and his wife Melissa of Center Twp, PA.

He is also survived by siblings

He was preceded in death by his daughter Rae-Kathryn
And by brothers Donald Lawson, Joseph Lawson and a sister Nancy Phillips
There will be no viewing or visitation.
