Angela D. “Angel” Cubitt Oakes, 56, of Franklin, PA., passed away Wednesday July 15, 2026 with the help of hospice after a long battle with stage 4 kidney cancer, with her family by her side.
Born May 28, 1970 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of Barbara Conner Cubitt and the late Robert Cubitt, who passed away in 2006.
Angel was a graduate of Cranberry High School, and was class of 1986.
Later in life she earned a degree in Accounting from Dubois Business College in Oil City.
She had worked as Kwik Fill, Sugar Valley Lodge and Four Star Pizza, and until her illness she was the home health aide for the late Helen Stroup.
Angel enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching and doing embroidery work even in her final hours.
In her spare time Angel loved spending time with her grandkids whom she spoiled to the core. She loved going out on backroads driving around listening to music of different genres and different eras.

She is survived by two children
Christopher Cubitt and his wife Sarah , and their children
Brady, Luke and Jesse Cubitt,
Blake Perry, Octavia and Sylas Hager.
A daughter,
Lacey Cubitt and her fiance Frank Machokas and their children
Cori and her husband Ike Boehme,
Aden Machokas and Kyleighna Alsbaugh.
Three great grandchildren
Russell, Knox and Reya Boehme
She is also survived by one sister
Tammy Cubitt-Latchaw and her husband Doug
Two brothers,
Duaine Cubitt and his wife Deb,
David Cubitt
An Aunt
Dixie Hanes Nelson and her husband Adam
As well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews
And three special friends
Sam, Lynn Perry Sharp and Karen Vandervort
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends will be received from 10:00A.M.-12 Noon Monday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon in the funeral home with Pastor Chad Troup, Presiding.
Interment in Heckathorn Cemetery.
