Boyd Enos Obituary

Boyd J. Enos, 87, of Pleasantville, PA., passed away at 4:28 A.M. Monday June 9, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 22, 1937 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Brayton T. and Olive Wolcott Enos.

Boyd was a 1955 graduate of Oil City High School.

He entered the United States Coast Guard on July 13, 1955 and was honorably discharged on July 10, 1959.

After discharge, Boyd became an Oil City police officer and later became an Oil City firefighter.

After retiring from the fire department, he started his own locksmith business and operated as Boyd Enos Locksmith.

Boyd married the former Harriett “Ann” Bookwalter on May 17, 1957, she preceded him in death on Sept. 25, 2022.

In January, 2004, they moved from Oil City to the home they built on their family farm in Pleasantville.

Boyd was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City.

He was a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer for the Pennsylvania Game Commission from 1966 until he retired in 2008.

Boyd was a member of the Masonic Petrolia Lodge, a member of the American Legion, the National Wild Turkey Federation and the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by his son Mike (Pam) Enos of Pleasantville, daughter Debbie (Lee) Adelson of Boston, MA., and daughter Lynne (Rick) Minton of Springtown, TX, and his faithful canine companion, Mindy.

Boyd is also survived by:

A sister, Diane Batson and a sister-in-law Eleanor Enos of Pleasantville.

7 grandchildren

4 great grandchildren

11 nieces and nephews

18 grand cats and 5 grand dogs

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher, two brothers,  Byron A. Enos and B.T. Enos

Boyd was a frequent and beloved patron of Bob Evans restaurant in Cranberry.

The Family will celebrate his life with an open house at his residence in Pleasantville, beginning at 11:00 AM with a small service at 1 PM on Saturday, June 14.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Wild Turkey Federation.
