Candace (Candy) D. Kent, 58, of Seneca, PA., passed away suddenly Thursday May 9, 2024 at UPMC-NW in Seneca.
Born Feb. 13, 1966 in Franklin, PA., she was the daughter of Mary Sabousky.
Candy was a 1984 graduate Oil City High School and later while raising her children, she began her nursing education at Venango Campus, graduating Magne Cum Laude.
Candy was a long-time ICU nurse and for the last decade was a Clinician at UMPC Northwest in the Behavioral Health unit. She cherished her career and the lifelong relationships she made along the way and was an unrelenting advocate for those experiencing mental health challenges.
One of her favorite times of year was the annual Pepperpalooza event that her and Steve put on every fall for friends and family. There, she was able to show off her collection of house plants and do what she loved best, cooking, baking, and having a good time with her friends and family.
Candace also enjoyed playing the slots on the occasions where she was lucky, would always treat her companions to dinner.She also enjoyed the companionship of her dogs Max, Ridley and Daisy.
She is survived by her companion of 15 years Steve Roser Sr.

She is also survived by her siblings

As well as several nieces and nephews
Candy will be dearly missed by her close friends Shelley Smeltzer, Kathy Young, Shelly Etzel, Cathy Gotses, and her ex-husband Vance McCartney with whom she remained close.
She was preceded in death by two brothers John Croyle and Dave Sabousky, and a beloved sister-in-law Marsha Croyle.
Friends will be received from 6:00-8:00 P.M.. Tuesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
