A Celebration of Life for Kit will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday July 10th in McCracken Chapel at Wesbury Village in Meadville. Gathering will start at 2:00 P.M.
Catherine ( Kit ) Eunice McDonald 85 passed away at Wesbury Village in Meadville at 8:25, P.M. Monday June 27, 2011 after an extended illness. She had formerly resided at 815 W1st St. in Oil City.
She was born in Clifton Hts. , Delaware County on Dec. 10, 1925 daughter of the late Michael and Mary Walanus Presz.
Mrs. McDonald was a graduate of the Overbrook School for the blind and her and her husband Bill were faculty members there for a number of years.
Kit as she was called by her family and friends was a homemaker. She was a vocalist and enjoyed playing the piano and playing duets with her husband. She also liked to knit.
For many years her and her husband William H. McDonald lived in Philadelphia where they were married on Nov. 20, 1954. He survives and lives at Wesbury.
The last surviving member of her family , She was preceded by siblings Helen, Frances, Walter, Edward, Ann and Mary.
There will be no viewing . At her request she will be cremated .
A celebration of life will be held on July 10, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at the McCracken Chapel of Wesbury Community of Meadville, Mr. McDonald will receive friends in the library from 2:00-3:00 P.M. before the service.
Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
