Charles A. Bowser, 77 of Seneca, passed away peacefully Sunday December 8, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA following a brief illness.
He was born on February 26, 1947, In Franklin Pennsylvania, son of the late David and Shirley Bowser.
Charles who most knew as Chuck is the husband of Sonja Bowser. They celebrated 46 years of marriage this past summer. He is also the father of three daughters, whom he called his angels. Ann Davis and her husband Ben, Vicki Quen, and Nancy Clark and her husband Don.
He is also survived by his grandchildren. Lauren, Autumn, Sean, Dylan, Troy, Matthew, Donnie and Lucas. His brother David “Mike” Bowser and his wife Carol. His sister Lynn and her husband Rich Harriger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews all of whom he loved dearly.
Chuck grew up in the Franklin area of Bully Hill and attended Franklin Area Schools where he graduated in 1966. He also served in the U.S Navy from 1966-1970 and served 4 tours of duty in Vietnam as part of the Brown Water Navy.
Over the years he had worked at Joy Manufacturing in Franklin. The Department of Environmental Protection in Meadville, and Point Security at UPMC Northwest.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his twin sister, Carolyn Bills.
He loved to be outdoors, hunting and fishing were his favorite past times when his health permitted. He loved to garden and was often seen outside mowing on his riding lawn mower.
Friends will be received from 11:00 A.M.- 12 Noon Saturday at Faith Baptist Church, 235 Horsecreek Rd. Seneca, PA.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon at the church with Rev. Clifton Hamby, Presiding.
Interment will take place at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
