Clarence A. Anderson, 96, a resident of Oakwood Heights in Oil City and formerly of Grandview Rd. died at 6:10 P.M. Wednesday June 3 at Oakwood Heights following an extended illness.
Born June 23, 1918 in Stoneboro, PA., he was the son of the late Albert B. Anderson & Minnie Wager Anderson.
Clarence was a corporal in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in Alaska for two years.
He was married to the former Elizabeth S. Strickland on Aug. 29, 1945 and she preceded him in death in 2003.
Mr. Anderson was a carpenter by trade, and was the head estimator at Strickland Construction for many years.
He was a member of the Hasson Heights Community Church and a former member of the Kiwanis.
He enjoyed woodworking, making furniture and taking care of his yard.
He is survived by five children and their spouses

and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers
Paul, Phillip, Leonard, Robert and Clifford Anderson
and by four sisters
Edith, Eleanor and Anna Louise Anderson and Dorothy Strickland.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 6-8 P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
And again from 10:00A.M.-11:00A.M.Saturday in the Hasson Heights Community Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the Hasson Heights Community Church with Rev. Jamie Fowler, Presiding.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery with Full Military Honors accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard
