Darla M. Plowman, 48, of Hershey, PA. and formerly of Dempseytown, passed away Dec. 23, 2025 after a short illness.
Born April 8, 1977 in Franklin, PA., she was the daughter of Darlene Snyder Plowman and the late Daryl Plowman.
Darla was a 1995 graduate of Oil City High School and a 2005 graduate of Edinboro University with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
She had first worked as a medical office assistant for Franklin Surgical Group before becoming an RN. She later worked for Lancaster General, UPMC-Northwest and was currently working for Hershey Medical Center.
Darla was very sports oriented, having played little league in her early years to playing softball and volleyball in high school.
She enjoyed watching all sports and watching the Olympics.
Her team was the Kansas City Chiefs.
Darla also enjoyed going to the beach, and had three favorite shows,
“I love Lucy, the Golden Girls and Friends.
She is survived by her mother Darlene of Dempseytown.
And by two brothers
Eric Plowman and his wife Stacey and their children
Bailee and Ethan
And
Craig Plowman and his wife Peggy and their daughter Bristol
She is also survived by her aunts
Shirley Thatcher and Cindy Dutko
And uncles, John Snyder, Dennis Snyder
In addition to her dad, she was preceded in death by her uncles Glenn and Rollie and aunts Pat and Cheryl and grandparents Lloyd and Ruth Snyder , and Rowland and Irene Plowman
Darla is also survived by caregiver and travel companion Lori and special friends Peter, Sarah, Brittany, Melissa, Pat and Rick.
Friends will be received on Tuesday Dec. 30 from 2-4 P.M.in the Oakland United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 4PM. in the church with Rev. Robert Klingler, Presiding.
Memorials may be made to Oakland United Methodist Church or to a charity of ones choice.
