Dawn M. Mahood

Dawn M. Mahood, of Slippery Rock, passed away with family by her side, Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

Born in Grove City on April 2, 1967, she was the daughter to Christopher and Phyllis Eyth Mahood.

Dawn loved her grandchildren and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid outdoors woman, taking hikes, fishing, and talking about cars. One of Dawn's greatest passions was machinery, she was an accomplished machinist and earned many certificates. 

Surviving Dawn are her parents, Phyllis and Christopher Mahood of Oil City, her daughter; Amanda Thomas and her fiancé Scott Cowles of Venus, her son; Johnathan Wright of Oil City.

She is also survived by a brother Christopher Mahood and his wife Juanita of Oil City.

Many loved grandchildren and step-grandchildren also survive.

As per Dawn’s wishes there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Reinsel Funeral Home, 116 Bissell Ave. Oil City, PA. 16301 to help the family defray funeral expenses.
