Deborah Boyer, loving wife of Dr. Walt Boyer, died on Tuesday Aug. 15, 2023 at the age of 66
Born in Oil City, PA. on Oct. 26, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Donald E. (Gene) and Betty H. Hall.
She graduated from West Forest High School and went on to receive a Diploma in Nursing at the Sharon General Hospital School of Nursing.
From there, she graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and finished at the University of Phoenix with a dual master in Nursing Science/Nursing Education.
She worked at the Oil City Hospital as a staff nurse for many years until she went to work for her husband, the late Walter E. Boyer, MD until his retirement in 1994. She loved the art of nursing, from teaching novice nurses to lovingly caring for her husband and sister until their illnesses took them to heaven.
She was married to Walter E. Boyer, MD on May 1, 1982 at the Church of Notre Dame in Hermitage Pa, officiated by the late Msgr. Robert Schrieffer. Walt was the love of her life, best friend, and soul mate.
Her husband preceded her in death, along with her father, mother and sister,
Laurie Hall as well as step-daughter Patricia Boyer Wabnitz.
She is survived by her lovable kitty, Lilly, her faithful companion. Also surviving are three brothers and their spouses, Donald E. Hall Jr, and wife Kathy, Robert A. Hall, and wife Ruth, and Joseph M. Hall, and wife Marcy and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is dear friend Clay Karns and special niece Sarah Clay
She is also survived by stepchildren and their spouses, Susan Drelick and husband Rick, Walter Boyer and wife Debra, Debra Sager, MD, and husband Guy, Jay Wabnitz and Jeffrey Boyer and wife Brenda, and several step- grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Reinsel Funeral Home at 116
Bissell Ave, Oil City from 4-6 P.M. Monday August 21
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 A,.M. at St. Joseph Church, 35 Pearl Ave, Oil City, PA.
Interment will be at the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery next to her husband.
