Dennis D. "Boomer" Bechtel

Dennis D. “Boomer” Bechtel, 73, of Oil City, PA., passed away Friday July 12, 2024 at his residence after an extended illness.

            Born Nov. 7, 1950 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Leslie G. “Buzz” and Marian Louise Foulds Bechtel.

Dennis was married on February 14, 1986 to the former Carla A. Ahrens and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2020.

Dennis had worked at Oilwell Supply as a crane operator and had also worked at Electralloy.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing ,camping and canoeing.

He is survived by two children

Ahren Bechtel and his girlfriend Jennifer Daugherty of Oil City

Leslie Rugh and her husband James of New Castle

He is also survived by two sisters

 Marlene Lockhart of Seneca

Linda Felmlee of Oil City

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant brother David Bechtel and a sister Bonnie Jones

Friends will be received from 5:00P.M.-7:-00P.M. Wednesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M.
