Dolores Heath Obituary

Dolores L.  “Lori” Heath, 94, of Oil City, PA., passed away peacefully with her family by her side June 29, 2024 in the ER at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca.

Born March 11, 1930 in Bradford, PA., she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Saboska Hockenberry.

Lori graduated from Oil City High School.

She was married on Sept. 7, 1948 to Richard C. Burns and he preceded her in death.

She then married Ivan T. Heath on August 4, 1984 and he died on  March 3, 2019.

Lori was a longtime member of the Hasson Heights Presbyterian Church which became the Hasson Heights Community Church before it closed.

She served as an elder and a deacon at the church.

She was employed at the Oil City School District and later was a caregiver for the elderly until 2009.

She is survived by a daughter

Machelle Applequist of Oil City

Three stepchildren

Thomas E. Heath and his wife Andrea of Huntsville, AL

David I. Heath of Oil City

Linda M. Hinds of Brackenridge

She is also survived by her grandchildren

Nathan Thomas, Tasha Ross, Shane Sponenburgh , Abigail Applequist and Amanda Burns

 and many step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Richard Burns, a daughter Colleen Freeman and a grandson Christopher Burns a brother Richard Hockenberry and two sisters, Patrica Carson and Faith Schwartz

There will be no viewing or visitation.

The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
