Dorothy L. (Waters) Davis

Dorothy L. “Dottie” Davis, 83, of Oil City, PA., passed away Friday April 3, 2026 at UPMC-Hamot in Erie.

            Born July 2, 1942 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel Hollabaugh Waters.

Dottie was married on Sept. 15, 1967 to Anthony O. Davis and he preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2025.

A homemaker, Dottie had worked as a caregiver for several families over the years.

She enjoyed playing Mrs. Claus with her late husband Tony who was Santa.

She also enjoyed going to Pow Wow’s, crocheting and the companionship of her dogs.

She is survived by two sons

David Waters and his significant other Tracy Rivers of Cranberry

Anthony Davis Jr. of Oil City

Two grandsons

Eric Waters and Joshua Waters

And a great grandson

Grayson Waters

In addition to her parents and husband, Dottie was preceded in death by a grandson Mike Waters, daughter-in-law Cindy Waters and the following siblings, Margaret “Peg” Sweeney, Helen Albaugh, Bill Waters, Flo Miller and Ann Wheeler.

Friends will be received from 5-7P.M. Wednesday April 8 in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 7 P.M. with Rev. Thomas Carr, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Presiding.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery at a later date.
