Frances V. Lamey, 84, formerly of Oil City, PA., passed away Monday May 13, 2024 at Warren Manor in Warren, PA.
Born Dec. 28, 1939 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Francis W. Dechant and Gertrude Stoudt McCartney Dechant.
Frances attended Oil City Schools.
She was employed at the Presbyterian Home in Oil City for over 27 years as a nursing assistant.
She was first married to Melvin E. Brady and he preceded her in death, she later married Karl Lamey Jr and he also preceded her in death.
Frances enjoyed reading, walking and exercising as well as crocheting and dancing. She was devoted to her family and loved them all and would help anyone in need.
She is survived by four children
Susan Cowan and her husband Bruce of Warren
Darlene Schrum and husband Christopher of Oil City
Frank Brady and his wife Linda of Warren, PA.
Johnathan Brady of Oil City
And by the following grandchildren
Erika, Krystal, Natalie
Candace, Veronica, Rebecca and Grace
She is also survived by one sister
Phyllis King of Oil City
Two brothers
John Dechant of Cooperstown
George McCartney of Oil City
And by several nieces and nephews
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons
Broc Brady and Brandon Sloan and by a granddaughter Nicole Schrum
She was also preceded in death by brothers Dave McCartney, Robert McCartney, Harry James McCartney, Clarence Dechant and a sister Joyce Bower.
Friends will be received from 10:00 A.M.-12 Noon on Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon with Fr. John Miller, Presiding.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
