Gladys E. Hites, 91, formerly of Rouseville, PA., passed away Sunday Oct. 27, 2024 at Oil City Healthcare and Rehab.
Born August 2, 1933 in Franklin, on the family farm she was the daughter of Ephraim and Nellie Doerr Lehman.
She attended Graham Elementary School and was a graduate of Franklin High School.
She was married on March 12, 1953 at the Congress Hill Church of God to David F. Hites and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2004. They celebrated 50 years of marriage together, before his passing.
A homemaker, Gladys enjoyed quilting, baking wedding cakes and also made sugar cookies at Halloween time and worked fish fries and bingo for the Rouseville Volunteer Fire Dept., where she enjoyed working with everyone.
She was a member of the Sandycreek Grange and enjoyed making sauerkraut with the Lehman brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Hites was a member of the Rouseville United Methodist Church.
Glady is survived by the following children

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson
Christopher Theuret and by sisters Kathleen Harrington , Ethel Orlando and Florence Ross and by brothers David, Paul, Glenn, Roy Lehman and brother -in-law Robert Hites
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Plumer Cemetery.
