James W. Stevenson

James W. Stevenson, 71, of Oil City, PA., passed away Monday Jan. 19, 2026 at UPMC-Hamot in Erie.

            Born Jan. 9, 1955 in Miami, FL., he was the son of the late Elmer and Margaret ”Peggy” Eckert Stevenson.

Jim graduated from Oil City High School and attended Penn State.

He had worked many years at Koppers.

Jim enjoyed his boat, fishing and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He also enjoyed body work on vehicles.

He is survived by three children

Eric Stevenson and his wife Robin of Oil City,

And their daughters Olivia and Emma

Danielle Harton of Oil City and her children

Lacey Westerman, Allie Harton and Liam Harton

Samantha Stevenson  of West Virginia and her  son Aiden Latchaw

And a stepdaughter

Alicia Alexander, and her son Torin

He is also survived by a sister

Margaret “Sis” Adams of Oil City

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, brother-in- law Thomas Adams and his grandparents, Walter (Bob) & Alberta Stevenson and William and Maxine Eckert.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Services will take place at the convenience of the family.
