Janet L. (Gibson) Griffin

Janet L. Griffin, 78, of Oil City, PA., passed away at 3:15 A.M. Wednesday March 20, 2024 at her home after an extended illness.

                Born Sept. 20, 1945 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Bernice E. Brodziak Gibson.

Janet was a graduate of Oil City High School.

She had worked many years at Continental Can Co. and had worked for Seneca Printing.

She was married in 1990 to Robert L. Griffin and he survives.

Janet enjoyed knitting and sewing and also enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter

Sherry Armagost of Erie, PA.

And three stepchildren

Robert Griffin of Franklin

Tammy Witherow and her husband Rick of Franklin

Kevin Griffin of Titusville

And numerous grandchildren.

She is also survived by a sister Laurie Vickers of Meadville

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Armagost.

Friends will be received from 2-4 P.M. Saturday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Josh Botts, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Presiding.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
