Janet E. Wice, 91, of Oil City, PA., passed away Wednesday Jan. 14, 2026 at Oakwood Heights after a period of declining health.
Born August 23, 1934 in Petroleum Center, PA., she was the daughter of the late Willard and Thelma Crissman Wright.
Janet attended Oil City Schools.
She was married on Sept. 20, 1950 to H. Thomas Wice and he preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 2013.
A homemaker, Janet enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, crafting, painting and baking.
She was a former member of the Oil City Cycle Club and a member of the Plumer United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children
Shirley Hughes and her husband Jim of Hadley
Thomas Wice and his wife Greta of Oil City
Cindy Karns of Oil City
Terry Wice and his wife Lisa of Oil City
And the following grandchildren
James Hughes and his wife Michelle, Marci Waleff and her husband Stevan,
Brian Wice and his wife Kayle
Jackie Wice and her husband Neti Poompukdee
Jeffrey Karns and his wife Hind
Samuel Karns
Dana Kilian and her husband Vincent
Tara Drivere and her husband Jarod
Several great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren also survive, as well as good friend Martha Turner.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son -in-law
Ted Karns, a granddaughter Shelly Lynn Wice and by two brothers Jim Wright and Willard Wright and her companion Nelson Best.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Plumer United Methodist Church
The Family would like to extend a special thanks to Oakwood Heights and to AseraCare Hospice.
Friends will be received from 1P.M.-2P.M. Saturday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2P.M. with Rev. Thomas Carr, Presiding.
Interment will be in Plumer Cemetery.
