Jeanne M. (Carter) Hoffman

Jeanne M. Hoffman, 69, of Oil City, PA., passed away Monday July 27, 2026 at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca.

            Born Nov. 7, 1956 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Harry Willam Carter Jr. and Mary Jane McGraw Carter.

Jeanne was  a graduate of Oil City High School.

A homemaker, she had worked at Kresge’s in Oil City.

She enjoyed playing bingo, puzzle books, crosswords and jigsaw puzzles.

Jeanne is survived by three children

Dustin Hoffman of McDonald, OH.,

Julie Hoffman of Seneca,

And Karina Hoffman and her significant other Jodi Robertson of Oil City,

Jodi Robertson from the start had an important hand in Jeanne’s care and quickly won a special place in her heart.

4 grandchildren

Octavia, Victoria, Warren and Alexia

And 5 great grandchildren

Samuel, Dayton, Xenayah, Norah and Wrenlee

She is also survived by her brother Ronald Carter of Kenosha, WI.

And her sister Patricia Edwards of Golden Valley, AZ.

 several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Carter.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Services will be held at a later date.
