Jesse V. Benton III

Jesse V. Benton III, 62, of Oil City, PA., passed away Thursday May 28, 2026 at his home unexpectedly.

Born Feb 5, 1964 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of Pauline Baker Benton and the late Jesse V. Benton Jr.

Jesse was a graduate of Oil City High School.

He was married on Jan. 31, 1998 in Las Vegas, NV.,  to the former Lisa S. Matson and she preceded him in death on May 8, 2024.

A handyman, Jesse had worked as a tile installer for many years.

He enjoyed fishing, building model trains and was a huge motorsports fan.

In addition to his mother of Oil City, PA., he is survived by two daughters

Michalla Benton of Carmel, IN.

Mackenzie Benton of Oil City

Gail O’Neil and her husband David of Venus

Charles M. Benton and his wife Mary Ann of Franklin

Marie Benton of Ol City

Jan Wolfgong and her husband Tim  of Oil City

Suzie Herrera of Oil City

And by several nieces and nephews

In addition to his wife and father, he was preceded in death by a sister Julie Ann Benton and a brother-in-law Michael Herrera

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Services will take place at the convenience of the family.

The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
