Joanne M. Meagher

Joanne M. Meagher, 85, of Oil City, PA., passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Oil City Healthcare after an extended illness.

Born June 17, 1939 in Oil City, PA., She was the daughter of the late James H. & Catherine Lonergan Carey.

Joanne was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.

In addition to being a wife and mom, Joanne was a housekeeper for Gaston Electric, GE Telephone Company, and in later years she worked as a crossing guard.

She was previously married to Wayne Wilbur Krepp and they had four children, she later married Paul L. Meagher and he survives.

Joanne enjoyed camping, especially at President Campground and Shenandoah Campground. Joanne was a hard worker; she took care of not just her children but anyone’s who needed cared for. She also enjoyed cooking treats that she would give away to loved ones instead of eating them herself.

She is survived by her husband Paul Meagher of Oil City

Doris Crowe and her husband Cliff of Harrisburg

And the following grandchildren

Elliott Hogue and Hohn Hogue Jr.

Deanne Gibson, Joshua White and Evan Lutz

Katelyn Polumbo

Matthew Krepp, Tricia Krepp, Toby Greene and Tyler Greene

As well as many great grandchildren

She is also survived by her sister Barbara Voisin of Waterford

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Jane White, a son-n-law Mike Greene

And four brothers

Richard, Robert, John and James Carey

And by two sisters

Patricia McClellan and Mary Niederriter.

Friends will be received from 12-2 P.M. on Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be immediately following the visitation at 2PM in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery.
