Joseph Russell Brown Jr., 43, of Franklin and formerly of Oil City, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 1, 2026 at his home.
Born Sept. 2, 1982 in Titusville, PA., he was the son of Mary Ellen Beals Brown and the late Joseph R. Brown Sr.
Joe attended Oil City Schools.
He was married in 2013 to Charity A. Kemp and she survives.
Joe was working in the parts department at A. Crivelli Buick, and had worked at the Chevrolet and Ford garages as well.
First and foremost Joe loved his children, spending time with them was his favorite.
He also enjoyed pickleball, disc golf, his motorcycle and hanging out with friends.
He enjoyed listening to music, enjoyed his job and being around his co-workers.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three children
Gracie Brown ,
Noah Brown,
And Josie Brown all of Oil City.
He is also survived by his sisters
Mary Rice and her husband Bud,
Faith Prichard and her husband Jamie,
Christina Brown,
And Amanda Brown and her significant other Jay all of Oil City
He is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family and good friend Leigh Ann Pikna.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received from 5P.M.-7P.M. Tuesday January 6 in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
