Joyce L. (Daubenspeck) Irwin

Joyce L Irwin, 85 of Franklin entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, November 2,

2024. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

Born January 21, 1939, she was the daughter of Ann and John Daubenspeck. She was raised by her grandparents, Edna and Oren Shorts.

On July 14, 1956, she married the love of her life, Alvin E Irwin Sr. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2018. She and her husband had a great love for animals and had many memorable pets throughout the years.

Joyce graduated from cosmetology school in Meadville and ran a successful beauty shop out of her home for many years. With a passion for baking, she was well known for her homemade baked goods, especially bread. She also loved to can all the fresh vegetables from the garden each year. Furthermore, Joyce was a woman of great faith and spent many hours studying her Bible.

Left to cherish Joyce's memory are three sons Alvin Irwin Jr and his wife, Debby, Randall Irwin and his wife, Lori, all of Franklin and Chad Irwin and his wife Donna of Cooperstown and her grandchildren: Alvin Irwin III, Cole Irwin, Megan Douglas and her husband, Jonathan, Kady Irwin, Trevor Irwin, Devin Irwin and September Irwin. Heidi Young, Dustin Young, and Josh Young. Joyce is further survived by her great grandchildren, Jamison, Hailey, Elora, Lane, Sunny and Pyper.

Joyce is also survived by her three brothers Frank Oliveira, Richard Oliveira and Tim Oliveira, all of Santa Maria, California.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, and a brother, John Daubenspeck.

Joyce's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Caring Place for their care and support during her time there. Thank you also to special friends Margy, Chris and Diane for their friendship and love through the years.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Joyce Irwin of Franklin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday November 23, 2024 at the Donation Hill Bible Church, 965 Donation Hill Road, Cochranton, PA. 16314.

A luncheon will immediately follow the service where all are welcome to attend.
