Lucille P. Szalewicz, 98, formerly of Seneca, passed away Wednesday July 24, 2024 at Oakwood Heights Village in Oil City.
Born Aug. 8, 1925 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Marion and Julia Pencka Pilewski.
Lucille went to Assumption B.V.M. Grade School and graduated in 1944 from Oil City High School.
She married Francis S. “Frank” Szalewicz in the Assumption B.V.M. Church on July 9, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1987.
A homemaker, Lucille had worked for several years at the Derrick.
She had been a longtime member of St. Stephen’s Church and the rosary society.
She enjoyed golfing and playing bridge.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews including
Chris Andres of Titusville, Donna Carlson of Greenville, Leon Pilewski of VA and Lexsana Carr of WV and Cindy Hovis of Goldhill, OR
Lucille was preceded in death by her son Robert T. Szalewicz and his wife Irene.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Joseph Pilewski and Leo Pilewski
And sisters
Sophie Browsky, Mary Lenar, Jane Fedorek, Sr. Mary Julianne and Regina Andres
Friends will be received from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M. Sunday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday in St. Joseph Church with Fr. Richard Allen, Presiding.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
