Lyall Anson Bills, 91, of Erie, PA. passed away on January 4, 2025 at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca.
Born in President, Venango County, he was the son of the late Simon H. Bills and Beatrix Mae Sparks Bills.
Lyall was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War.
He was previously married to Fay Sparks Miller and she preceded him in death, he later married the former Mary Christianson and she died in 2024. He and Mary had been married for 50 years.
Lyall had worked for Jack Burn in Erie , Erisco and later worked as an handicap aide for the First Student Company.
He was a volunteer Fireman for Millcreek Fire Dept.
Lyall enjoyed gardening, and giving away his produce to friends and neighbors.
He also enjoyed dancing, particularly square dancing and the jitter bug.
Lyall enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie, hunting at Eagle Rock , playing pool and a good game of checkers or chess, he also enjoyed the companionship of his dog Pixie.
He was a member of the American Legion in Erie.

Jessica Baker, Trisha Burley, Rebecca Burley and Brianna Burley
And several great grandchildren
Dear to his heart is a step grandson Kevin Christianson and his wife and child and his siblings.
He was preceded in death by brothers Emmel, Warren, Francis, Thomas and sisters Cecal, Ida May, Lois and Leola and a stepdaughter.
Friends will be received from 10:30A.M.-11:30A.M. Saturday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 11:30A.M. in the funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Haag, Presiding.
