Margaret Eismont Obituary

Margaret M. Eismont, 90, of Oil City, PA. , died peacefully at her daughters home on Friday Oct. 5, 2018 after a brief illness.

Born April 5, 1928 in Germany she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm & Marguerite Becker Raffenbeul.

Margaret was married on March 15, 1950 in Bremen, Germany to Anthony S. “Tony” Eismont and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2008.

A Homemaker, Mrs. Eismont had worked for Chacona's Restaurant, and for the Arlington Hotel.

She was a longtime member of the Assumption B.V.M. Church and a member of the church choir where she and her husband were actively involved.

Margaret loved gardening and working around her home and was very active up until her illness.

She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will always be remembered as being a very loving person.

Margaret worked supporting Assumption Church, working at bazaar's both at Assumption B.V.M. Church and Venango Christian High School for over thirty years, cleaning the church, making pierogis, working church dinners and donating quilts, afghans and raffle items.

She is survived by her children

Anthony R. Eismont & his wife Joyce of Ahrensville

Margaret R. Hoover & her husband Daniel of Oil City

Arthur C. Eismont & his wife Marji of Oil City

three grandchildren

Joseph Hoover & his wife Rachel of Hermitage

Renee Mong & her husband Dave of Hubbard, OH

Rory Vanenburg of Ohio

three Great grandchildren

Rory Renee, Payne and Hannah

She is also survived by one sister Asta Walters of Germany

and one sister -in-law Joan Staron of Oil City

as well as many nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, and husband she was preceded in death by a brother Gerhard Rafflenbeul and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no viewing.

Private Funeral Services will take place at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation

or to St. Joseph Church.
