Mary Lorraine Brinkley, 86, formerly of Oil City, PA, passed away on Friday April 4, 2025 at the Kane Community Living Center in Pittsburgh, PA, after an extended illness.
Born in Canonsburg, PA on May 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Nahay Kryk.
Mary was a graduate of Franklin High School.
She was married on January 30,1960 at St. Patrick's Church in Franklin by the Rev. Bernard Webber to Floyd A. Brinkley and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2010.
Mary worked at F.W. Woolworth's lunch counter for many years. They moved to Stone Mountain Georgia in 1985 and Mary worked at Sears Distribution Center until retiring.
Mary and Floyd moved back to Oil City to enjoy their retirement years. Mary was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate Fan. She enjoyed watching games on TV and going to Pittsburgh to see them play. Over the years she met several of the players and got their autographs.
Mary also enjoyed music and going to see performances. She saw Bobby Vinton several times. She enjoyed country music and would go to Ponderosa in the Park in the summer for concerts.
Mary is survived by her children.
Susan Niederriter and her husband Mike of Pittsburgh, with whom Mary lived with for several years.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Wyatt.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
