Mary Kay McFadden Obituary

Mary Kay McFadden, age 82, of Oil City, passed away on Wednesday, February 4th at UPMC Hamot after a brief illness.

Born on September 30, 1943, in Oil City, she was the beloved daughter of the late Russell Flockerzi and Geraldine Sharrar Flockerzi. Mary Kay attended the Cranberry schools and grew into a natural leader—earning the nickname “the Boss.” She worked as a shift supervisor at the Foster Forbes Glass Factory until its closing and later at Merisol Antioxidants, where she retired in 2004.

A woman of independence and spirit, Mary Kay proudly owned her 2002 Harley Davidson Heritage motorcycle, lovingly known as “Pearl.” She was caring, compassionate, and unwaveringly loyal—always checking in on those she loved. Friends and family knew they could count on her wisdom, her humor, and her steady presence in both joyful and difficult times.

Mary Kay is survived by her longtime partner, Garry Wilson of Oil City; Mike and Regina Wilson of Gibsonia and their children, Maverick and Dylann; and Jody Wilson of Oil City and her children Olivia, Alaina, and Dakota. She is also survived by Deb Lutz and her partner, Greg Tobin of Oil City.

She was especially proud of her grandchildren, Megan Petraska and her husband Andy of Euclid, Ohio, and Russell Lineman and his wife Emily of Oil City.                                             Becoming a great‑grandmother to Adeline Petraska brought her immense joy— “Grandma Kay” cherished showing off the latest picture book of Addie’s “adventures.”

Also surviving are her siblings Cheryl Ann Delp of Venus and Bruce (Sue) Flockerzi of Oil City; her sister‑in‑law Sarah Flockerzi of Oil City; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who were like family to her.

In addition to her parents, Mary Kay was preceded in death by her son Bryan Lineman; her sister Jean Suter and husband Roger; her brothers Gary Flockerzi, and Gerald ‘Nip’ Flockerzi and David Flockerzi and his wife Sheila; and Matthew Wilson.

Mary Kay’s legacy lives on in the family she deeply loved. She will be dearly missed.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 8th from 1–3 p.m. at Reinsel Funeral Home in Oil City, with a service to follow at 3 p.m. with Majors Tim and Jan Duperree presiding.
