Matthew A. Johnson, 69, of Oil City, PA. passed away Sept. 28, 2025 at Oil City Healthcare and Rehab. , after an extended illness.
Born Nov. 4, 1955 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Clair and Jean Usoff Johnson.
Matthew was a graduate of Venango Christian High School.
He served in the Army National Guard.
Matthew had worked as an autobody technician for Lowry’s and for Crivelli’s.
He was married to the former Linda M. Rising and she survives.
Matt enjoyed riding motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson Trike.
He loved fishing and enjoyed hunting.
Matt was a member of the Oil City Moose Club and had been a member of the Franklin VFW. He was an active member of A.B.A.T.E. and formerly belonged to the Venango County Coon and Fox Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters,
Tamala Rublee and her husband Chris of Corry
Jessica Johnson and partner Brandon of Franklin
Grandchildren
Liam and Nathanael Rublee ,
Zoei Heller and her fiancé Cameron,
And Tim Heller
He is also survived by a stepdaughter
Jennifer Musser and her husband Mark of Indiana, PA.
And their children
Izabella, Madison, Eva, Wade and Logan
Matt is also survived by his siblings
Guy Johnson and his wife Riza of Emlenton
Fred Johnson(Vicki) of Ligonier
Marilyn Irwin of Little River, SC
And Mary Mann and her husband John of Pittsburgh, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant grandson Greyson and a brother-in-law Bill Irwin
Visitation will be held on Nov. 1 from 1:00P.M.-2:00P.M. with a memorial service following at 2:00P.M. in the Reinsel Funeral Home.,
