Michael Hajduk D.M.D. Obituary

Michael J. Hajduk D.M.D. ,73, of 10 Pleasant St. Oil City, PA. , died at 5:48 P.M. Sunday Oct. 13, 2019 after an extended illness.

Born August 3, 1946 in Franklin, PA., he was the son of Francis A. Facini Hajduk and the late John G. Hajduk.

Mike was a graduate of Venango Christian High School, Gannon University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Hajduk practiced dentistry for 43 years in Oil City.

He was married on June 14, 1969 in St. Joseph Church to the former Mary M. (Marge) Ward and she survives.

A member of St. Joseph Church, he had served as an usher, Eucharistic Minister and lector for many years. Mike was past president of St. Joseph Parish Council and past president of St. Joseph School Board.

He served on the St. Stephen's Athletic Association and on the St. Stephen's School Board.

Dr. Hajduk was a member of the PA Dental Association and a member of the American Dental Association.

He was a former member of the Oil City Rotary, Pulaski Club and the Wanango Country Club and currently was a member of Knights of Columbus #385 in Oil City.

Dr. Hajduk was on the Northwest Hospital Corporate Board and on the Board of Directors of the Northwest Hospital Foundation.

He enjoyed spending time with family, family trips to the beach, and attending his children and grandchildrens sporting events.

Mike enjoyed golfing and working outside at his house, whether it be cutting down a few trees, building a treehouse, or making a zip line for the kids and their friends to enjoy.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four children

Allison Dilks & her husband Jason of Oil City

Alan Hajduk & his wife Lauren of Pittsburgh

Stephanie Hajduk of Arlington, VA

four grandchildren

Allison, Dean and Tyler Bergkoetter

and Jackson Dilks.

One brother

Mark Hajduk & his wife Nancy of Franklin

a sister

Rosanne Chamberlain & her husband Stephen of Franklin

as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews,  a brother-in-law and several sisters in law.

Two Uncles

Harry Hajduk of California

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers

Robert Hajduk and an infant Stephen Hajduk.

And his in-laws

Thomas & Julia Ward.

Friends will be received from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday and again from 2-4 and from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated at 10:30A.M. Thursday in St. Joseph Church.

Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church Development Fund, St Stephen School Tuition Assistance Fund, the Northwest Hospital Foundation or to a charity of one's choice.
