Michelle “Mickey” M. Szabat, 65, of Salem, OH., passed away at 10:24 A.M. Wednesday May 14, 2025 at her home.
Born June 5, 1959 in Meadville, PA., she was the daughter of the late Francis A. and Catherine Driscoll McGraw.
Mickey was a 1977 graduate of Maplewood High School.
She retired in 2024 as a central supply clerk at Salem Regional Medical Center after 27 years of dedicated service, and loved her job.
Mickey was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Salem, OH.
On December 7, 1985 she married Stanley S. Szabat at St. Bridgid Church in Meadville and began her next three years as a USAF military spouse joining Stan in Anchorage, AK.
Mickey was an avid line dancer, bowler and golfer.
She loved her times at the casino or just playing scratch off tickets. She also loved traveling to Florida to spend time with her granddaughter and family.
She was very excited to visit Ireland recently and traveled around the entire island.
Mickey was a devoted wife and mother to her children and enjoyed attending their school and sporting events. Her Christmas Fudge and cookies were favorites. She loved to decorate the house during the year based upon what holiday was being celebrated. She had strong Irish roots and was proud to be Irish.

Stephanie Martinez and her husband Steven of Ft Myers, FL. and their daughter Sophia.

She was a loving grandmother and affectionately known as “Gram”.
Mickey is also survived by two sisters
Mary Kay Marshall and her husband Craig of Dubois, PA.
Judy Green of Warren, PA.
Her twin brother
Michael McGraw and his wife Nancy of Meadville
A sister -in-law Jean McGraw of Charlotte, NC. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Scott Szabat, a sister Deborah A. McGraw and her brother James F. McGraw and brother-in-law Thomas A. Green.
Friends will be received from 4:00P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Monday May 19 in St. Joseph Church with Fr. Richard Allen, Presiding.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
