Nancy L. (Pleger) Murray

Nancy L. Murray, 75, of Oil City, PA. , passed away  August 17, 2024 at her home after an extended illness.

            Born Sept. 29, 1948 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late John and Martha Perry Pleger.

Nancy was a 1966 graduate of Cranberry High School.

On Sept. 20, 1969 she married Richard W. Murray and he survives.

Nancy had worked at the Oil City Hospital for several years and was a home health aide for the Visiting Nurses Association for 30 years.

She enjoyed hunting and going to Canada to go fishing.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children

John Murray and his wife Georgene of Oil City

Melissa Hogue and her husband Eric of Oil City

Grandchildren

Emily, Alyssa,  Kristen and Haley

and Caitlyn

She is also survived  by three brothers

John Pleger Jr. and his wife Mary of  Oil City

Edward Pleger and his wife Sally of Mansfield, OH

Robert Pleger and his wife Cindy of SC

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters

Jane Manross and Jean Taylor

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Services will take place at the convenience of the family.
