Patricia S. Carter, 83, of Oil City, PA., passed away Tuesday Jan. 27, 2026 at UPMC-Shadyside in Pittsburgh after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 4, 1942 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine Harrison Szympruch.
Pat was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph High School.
She had worked for the Oil City Glass Plant until it closed and had also worked as a production supervisor at Liberty Electronics, retiring in 2016 as the tool crib manager.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church.
Pat enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and never missed a game. She enjoyed watching college womens basketball and the WNBA.
She looked forward to game nights and her monthly girls night out with the ladies from Liberty Electronics.
Pat enjoyed canning, and many enjoyed her homemade salsa.

Mary Kay (Mike) Clifton of Oil City
A sister -in-law
Michele Szympruch of North Conway, NH
And several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Stanley “Joe” Szympruch
There will be no viewing or visitation.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
