Patricia A. (Vogan) Serafin

Patricia A. Serafin, 91, of Oil City, PA., passed away Tuesday Sept. 24, 2024 at Oakwood Heights Village in Oil City after an extended illness.

            Born May 19, 1933 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Alice Vogan.

Pat was a 1951 graduate of Oil City High School.

She was married on Aug. 9, 1958 in St. Stephen Church in Oil City to Max M. Serafin and he preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2012.

Pat had worked many years as a registration clerk at the former Oil City Hospital.

She was a  member of St. Joseph Church.

Pat enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

She is survived by 5 children

Theresa Albright and her husband Jeff of Oil City

Gretchen Thomas and her husband Chuck of Wattsburg

Joseph Serafin of Jamaica, NY

Rebecca Clark and her husband Kevin of Waterford

She is also survived by ten grandchildren

Abigail, Nicole, Rachel, Alex, Clare, Zachary, Katrina, Hannah, Olivia and Liam

Four great grandchildren

Halena, Waylon, Lennox and Arthur

and by two sisters

Kathy Judy and her husband Paul of Altoona

Karen Terrill of Holidaysburg

One brother

Bill Vogan of Oil City

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son Max C. “Chris’ Serafin a sister Diana Johnson and brother Jim Terrill

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. , Friday Nov. 29, 2024 in St. Joseph Church.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church.

Her last words spoken were "I was awfully lucky"
