Rev. Benjamin B. Marney, 93, of Oil City, PA., passed away Tuesday May 27, 2025 at Oakwood Heights Village in Oil City.
Born June 6, 1931 in Ft. Worth, TX., he was the son of the late Andy K. and Bennie McMillan Marney.
Pastor Marney was a graduate of Southern Methodist University.
He was married on Feb. 22, 1958 to the former Mary Ann Curtis and she preceded him in death on April 11, 2017.
Rev. Marney had been a United Methodist Church minister for many years and was an elder in the central Texas Conference.
He and his wife left Texas in 1999, to be nearer to grandchildren. He lived in Hollidaysburg, PA., and Martinsburg, PA., before coming to live with his daughter Leah in Oil City, PA.
Rev. Marney was a member of Lodge #467 AF & AM, Grand Lodge of Texas.
He enjoyed singing and gardening.

Leah Carr and her husband Rev. Thomas Carr of Oil City, PA.
Grandchildren
Tara, Jessica, Kenneth, Lynnette and Krista
As well as 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Marney and a brother Mac Marney.
Rev. Marney will be laid to rest at Shannon Rose Hill in Ft. Worth, TX.
A Memorial Service will be held in Oil City, PA. at the Bethel United Methodist Church on June 21, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with his son-in-law Rev. Thomas Carr, Presiding.
