Robert L. “Bob” Brenot, 87, of Oil City, PA., passed away at his home on August 3, 2023.
Born in Oil City, PA., on May 1, 1936 he was the son of the late Lawrence W. & Mary M. Learn Brenot.
Bob was a graduate of St. Josph High School.
He had worked at the Oil City YMCA for a number of years and had worked at the Pennzoil Refinery in Rouseville where he was a fork lift operator. Bob had also been involved with the union, serving as an officer while at Pennzoil.
Bob was also active in earlier years with Junior Baseball and did screen printing for all the team shirts.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church, and the former Holy Name Society.
He was also an active and loyal member of the Oil City Knights of Columbus #385 in Oil City where he served for many years in various capacities including treasurer and financial secretary. He was also a member of the Fourth Degree Assembly.
Bob was a long time member of the Oil City Elks and had been Elk of the year in 2022. He had also been a member of the Pulaski Club.
Bob enjoyed baseball and loved going once a year to a ballgame.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers James E. Brenot and Joseph Brenot
Survived by many friends, including Tracy & Terry Vogan of Oil City
A Committal Service will be held at 2:30P.M. Tuesday August 8 in the Chapel at Calvary Cemetery.
Fr. John Miller will preside.
Interment will follow.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church Improvement Fund or to a charity of ones choice.
